We talk about children, make policies for children, but rarely talk with children. Arm Kind finally gives children growing up in poverty a voice of their own — not as victims, but as experts of their own lives.

The Netherlands ranks 9th among the richest countries in the world. Yet 1 in 13 children here grows up in poverty. These children know exactly where it hurts. They have ideas about what could help. Their stories change how you see poverty — and what you believe is possible.

But where is their voice?

Book the keynote with the workshops now

For five years, theater producer Bas van Rijnsoever collected stories from a hundred children for a confrontational interactive video keynote. Not an ordinary theater performance, but a statement. By children. For adults. About how we make new rules together.

Poverty is hereditary Not by blood, but by rules. Rules that say: pay your fine first, then your gas next, then the bailiff, and only then your food.

Poor Child shows how poverty is passed on through systems we have created ourselves. The project consists of an interactive keynote, educational materials for schools, and professional training courses. Because lasting change requires a new way of looking at what is fair.
