For the ninth time, deBuren, together with Stichting Nieuwe Helden, ILFU, Hard//hoofd, and The Writer’s Guide (to the Galaxy), is searching for the most electrifying, thought-provoking, and sensual literary erotica in the Netherlands and Flanders.
This year’s theme: Desire in times of turmoil. While the world burns—climate crises, war, political chaos—our human desires refuse to be extinguished.
Submit a literary erotic short story (max. 800 words) exploring lust, longing, and intimacy in uncertain times. Will your story dive into the past, envision an erotic encounter in a future, or capture a moment of passion amid the chaos of today? Let your imagination run wild. Sex is welcome, but not required.
Submissions are open! The best stories will not only be read—they will be heard. Winners will have their work performed live.
